Overview

A match made in rainbow heaven! Doodles and CAMP partnered to create a hybrid immersive experience, merging digital and in-person play for all ages.

As Doodles’ in-house agency, we directed the creative approach of the physical experience, installing discoverable animated features throughout the space. We also delivered exclusive digital assets for the Doodles ‘Stoodio’ - an online hub where users can customise their very own Doodles avatar - which makes up the core feature of the Doodles x CAMP experience. Our goal was to inject the physical space with colourful and playful elements and audio-visual narrative designs, while working closely with CAMP’s fabrication team and the Doodles digital product team to deliver a seamless and fun-filled experience for all participants.

Doodles x CAMP was the single largest opening in CAMP's history to date and currently sits beside IP like Mickey & Friends, Disney's Encanto, and Bluey. At its peak, the show was selling 2000 tickets weekly, securing its position as the second-highest performing attraction in the CAMP portfolio.

We knew combining storytelling with innovative digital technology was key to creating a memorable experience. So, upon entry, each attendee receives a “Doodad”: an RFID wristband that can be used to collect digital wearables for their avatar throughout the immersive scavenger hunt.

With actors leading the audience into the world of Doodles, our protagonist Hap, the somewhat clumsy yet brilliant inventor, and his trusty partner Mello, set the scene. 

Once inside the Doodleverse, there are several Golden Wolf-designed areas of interest to explore, each one an expansion on Doodles lore. Within each area, attendees can interact with an activity, ranging from arts & crafts to gaming. Each area also contains a unique digital collectable to find and activate. The players use check-in kiosks throughout to reveal their collection, styling their Doodles avatar with a custom outfit within the Stoodio, and, at the end of the experience, trading this in for a personal souvenir.
