We mashed up ultimate cuteness with cowabunga chaos for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Hello Kitty & Friends Happy Meal, launched globally this summer.
With up to 12 brand-new toys, the campaign dives headfirst into 1990s nostalgia - cartoons and crime-fighting heroes with a kawaii twist.
In close collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, we brought the crossover to life through a bold comic-book lens for McDonald’s. We crafted mixed-media hero shots of the iconic Happy Meal and toys that powered the campaign rollout. At the heart of the launch was a 2D-cel animated ad, rolled out globally across channels, capturing the iconic transformation of Hello Kitty & Friends and the Turtles into a hybrid form of their own, bursting with Turtle Power and Hello Kitty charm.
